Every parrot’s owner must know that I’m a flock bird that used to live in a group with hundreds. It is why I’m a social being, thus social and active nature makes it inevitable for me to spend some time out of my cage every day. I, like human, love to be as a part of family, and I enjoy speaking with others. So it is necessary to talk with me, even when I’m at in my cage. If you are at home in some time and are checking your affairs where I live there too, try doing these activities around me and talking a little as you can. While you are doing your activities and talk to me, That way, in fact you give me concentration.

Supply me toys

Because I need to entertain during the day, so it’s better to give me things. There are many items you can provide me with foraging toys, like paper towel rolls with hidden foods, turning the TV on near the cage, hanging food in different places around my cage. These are easy things but are very important to keep me active and mentally encouragements, specially no one is home spending time with me. You must know that parrots can stay great friends for you for many years, but firstly, you have to pay more attention every day. This makes us prevent from getting bored and destructions. in this situation they pull out their feather or scream loudly. While it’s excellent to spend times every day and talk to me. So if you can’t stay with me more, try to follow some things: play with, talk to me more, give me extra toys, turn on TV or play music. These will occupy and amuse me when you haven’t enough time during the day.

Playtime out of cage

I need some time to spend outside of my cage to play. It is necessary to determine a place for me to perch when I’m out of my cage. There are some kinds of play stand in all different shapes and sizes. Buy one of them you prefer based on my size from pet stores and online shops. My play stand should be easy to climb around on and it’s better to keep it clean. The best play stand is that one have a cup for food and treats, it has a place to hang toys on it and must be light enough taking from room to room when you go around the house. It may need some time to train your parrot the new play spot. Of course it’s better to make it a happy location where I get treats and toys, I look forward to spending time there. You can put the play stand near the dinner table and allow me to eat with you. It’s good to know that most of parrots love to do this because of our very social manner. The way is to assure that you must look after me on the stand so that I don’t jump on a leg and get into trouble or face fundamental dangers in room like dogs and cats or open windows, fireplaces or hot stove and more.
